Class Information
Classes are held weekly, and are 1 hour long. There are a maximum of 4 students per class.
Use of a sewing machine and tools are provided in class, though if you would prefer to use your own machine, you are most welcome to bring it.
Students are required to provide their own fabric, thread and notions for each project. A list of the supplies needed will be supplied. Students will leave their projects here in a specified basket, so no one will forget to bring their project with them each week. Upon completion, they will bring them home.
For Parents: Your child will be learning to sew. Some seams may not be as straight as you would like, but he/she will be doing their best. Children will progress with practice.
Please have your child arrive on time and pick them up promptly.
Class Fees
Invoices for class fees will be emailed before the start of each term. Payment is required before a student’s place is confirmed in any class.
If a student is absent for whatever reason, please contact me. Tuition is not pro-rated for missed classes and there are no tuition refunds or make-up classes if a student is unable to attend.
Class Cancellations: If I must cancel due to weather events or illness, make-up classes will be offered.
Safety in the Classroom
Safety will be taught from day one, but sometimes accidents still happen. Students will be working with pins, needles, scissors and occasionally a hot iron. Students must wear shoes; pins do fall on the floor and are sometimes hard to see.
I have a first aid kit handy and will apply cold water to minor burns.

We also offer a regular Pick Your Own Project class, where you can get help with a particular project that doesn't fit into our other classes.
Classes have a maximum of 6 students. Use of a sewing machine and tools are provided in class if required.

Private Classes
If you prefer a one-on-one lesson, or would like to organise a group of friends to form your own class, please get in touch to organise a suitable time.
